Raija Niskanen, Kuopio Airport Director at Finavia, warmly welcomes the new entrepreneur.
"I'm happy that we have an entrepreneur that provides heart-friendly and healthy food at Kuopio Airport. I'm confident that this is appreciated by passengers as well as airport employees. The Kanresta concept is a perfect match with Finavia's values," she says.
A well-balanced meal is the backbone of the Kanresta food preparation process. On the menu, this translates into healthiness, well-being and lifestyle.
"We prepare food from start to finish whenever possible. Our goal in lunch food preparation is a self preparation rate of 80% and for cafe products the rate is 65%. We use a lot of fresh fruit and vegetables that are in season, and bread is always freshly baked," says Antti Rosenberg, Managing Director of Kanresta.
Rosenberg says that Kanresta minimises the use of preservatives, artificial sweeteners, processed products, and salt, and favours low-fat milk products.
Kanresta stands out from many other companies in the sector through its social responsibility. Any surplus business profits are spent on work that promotes public health, such as the Foundation for Pediatric Research, the Finnish Association for Mental Health, the Finnish Heart Association, and the Central Union for the Welfare of the Aged.
The new restaurant is open every day from morning to evening. For more detailed opening hours, please visit the Finavia website.
